(24 - 40 hours)

Since launching 3.5 years ago, L is already working with some of the biggest names in grocery retail, stretching from Sydney to São Paulo. They include Coles, 7-Eleven, REWE, Carrefour, Esselunga, Conad, Coop, Super Muffato and Jumbo, just to name a few.

With roughly 350 Founders, L has over 2.500 years of experience in the loyalty industry. We use data-led shopper insights to understand who our target audiences are. This, coupled with an understanding of our clients’ business, allows us to provide tactical loyalty solutions that create increased visit frequency and basket size, while also attracting new shoppers.

About your role as a Founder | Payroll & Reporting Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Payroll & Reporting Specialist to join L; a dynamic, global market leader.

As a Payroll & Reporting Specialist you will be responsible for end-to-end execution of the salary administration for our office in The Netherlands as well as our Global People & Culture reporting. Together with our local partners in The Netherlands and Belgium, you will work on managing our payroll for 120-130 people.

In addition to the payroll, you will be the first point of contact for all People & Culture related system data for internal and external stakeholders. Creating reports and accurately analysing data will be entrusted to you. You will join our People & Culture team based in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, and will also be in close contact with our colleagues in Italy, Hong Kong, France, Brazil and Germany.


Responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring continuity and successful delivery of payroll, including reporting to the Finance Department
  • Preparing and submitting wage tax declarations
  • Taking ownership of the company org chart
  • Advising the business on payroll setup
  • Managing relationships with service providers
  • Advising on (Dutch) wage tax, including special tax regimes (such as the 30% ruling)
  • Working with accounting, treasury and tax departments to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with all regulations and (tax) laws
  • Preparing and improving monthly P&C reporting and various on-call financial/operational reports, and analysing data on a monthly basis
  • Creating and maintaining P&C dashboards to track L’s progress towards goals and monitoring trends
  • Preparing periodic reports for the Board and other internal & external stakeholders
  • Communicating with staff regarding salaries or legislation/social security changes regarding salaries
  • Taking the lead on global bonus calculations and global salary review reports and keeping the files up to date.
  • Staying informed on matters related to developments in legislation, social security and societal preferences that affect the field of salary administration, and sharing this knowledge with the P&C team.
About the successful candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, administration or accounting with a PDL certification
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in payroll & reporting
  • A strong knowledge of MS Office software tools and advanced knowledge of excel
  • A passion for facts and figures
  • Experience with Nmbrs is a plus
  • Good timekeeping skills, as well as an ability to meet strict deadlines and work with confidential information
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Able to remain calm under time pressure
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • An excellent knowledge of English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
